Objectives:
Organized by the Comillas ICADE Faculty of Law and the Comillas Alumni International Arbitration Club. The event will focus on developments in the investment arbitration arena and will be kicked off by the Dean of the Faculty of Law, Prof. Abel Veiga.
The first panel on Lessons Learned from the Renewable Energy Disputes Involving Spain will include Elena Gutiérrez García de Cortázar (partner, MGC Arbitration), Gabriel Bottini (partner, Uría Menéndez), Lena Sandberg (partner, Gibson Dunn), and Socorro Garrido Moreno (General State Attorney’s Office, Kingdom of Spain), moderated by Antonio Vázquez-Guillén (partner, Allen & Overy).
It will be followed by a Conversation on the Enforcement of ISDS Awards and EU Law between Profs. George A. Bermann (Columbia Law School) and Juan Fernández-Armesto (partner, Armesto & Asociados), moderated by Katharine Menéndez de la Cuesta (partner, Holland & Knight).
The event will conclude with a cocktail reception.
